Appeal to Bingo Industry from Responsibility in Gambling Trust

Bingo Boss Strikes Out at Labour Government

The Chief Executive Officer of Rank (Mecca Bingo) has struck out at the Labour Government, saying that they are “myopic and inconsistent”. He joins together with a group of leisure operating companies in publicly criticizing the government of Gordon Brown. This criticism came in the form of a letter from Mr. Burke to the Daily Telegraph. He said that he, and the Rank bingo and gaming group had a great deal in common with Punch Taverns’ and JD Wetherspoons CEO’s.

Mecca Bingo Apologises

Mecca bingo has apologized to a gentleman after one of their members of staff refused to allow him use of the toilet. The gentleman, Ian Mann suffers from and illness known as “ulcerative colitis”, a chronic bowel condition, which causes him to regularly need the toilet, and apparently he carries a card with him that proves he has this illness. Even though he showed this card to the member of staff , they still would not allow him the use of the toilet.

Obama Bingo Online!

What you might ask is this? Well two entrepreneurs in Denver the US have come up with a new form of online bingo. They call it Obama Bingo and the aim of  playing the game is to give $1 million to charities and save 1 million trees by 2009. Now Obama bingo is probably quite apt as I don’t know if you know, but his stepmother lives in the UK and plays bingo in her local bingo hall every evening with a friend.
