Latest Bingo Crime Roundup

Having noticed a few items surrounding criminal attacks on UK bingo clubs in the recent past, I came across this one and I really don’t know what to say. Some people can stoop really low, and as I have said before, I can’t help believing that criminal elements believe bingo clubs and their employees to be soft targets.

This criminal obviously thought that he had hit the jackpot when he sneaked into the cleaners room at the Buckingham Bingo on Tithebarn Street in Preston and stole for the cleaners employed there. I mean really, cleaners hardly earn the best salaries, but this low life didn’t care a damn. He, sorry no reflection on men, it could also have been a she, got away with a pink Samsung D900 mobile phone valued at ₤120 and ₤10 in cash. Really, this was probably the cleaners’ bus money and this creep took it within the space of a half hour. I don’t know, but things must be getting pretty desperate for someone to steal such a piffling sum of money and someone’s mobile phone.

I honestly don’t know, but I am of the opinion that bingo clubs are not properly secured, particularly in terms of staff quarters. Surely if you have a locker in the staff room of cleaners quarters, you should be able to lock the door and take the key with you. We don’t like to think that people would steal from us, but in all honesty I believe we should be more security conscious.
