No More Bingo Monopoly in France????

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

Reports from the media are predicting the end of the French opinions on gambling regulations as they stand.

It is the French media itself that is making these predictions of the Sarkozy administration’s current regulation standards. The administration is experiencing extreme pressure from the European gaming commission to change their policies.

The liberation of the French online gaming industry will most certainly be looked upon as a step up for the industry operators. This will also prevent the need for further investigation and possible prosecution by the European Commission.

The principles of the EU are clear in their governing of free trade of goods and services between nations. For France to continue their monopolistic state, they would be in violation of these principles, and subject to large penalties and fines. As members of the commission, they are in held liable for any alternative practices that are not in compliance. It is becoming apparent to the Sarkozy administration that it is time for change.

France is not the only country poised to make changes, though. Future introduction of gaming operators is not planned for any particular date, however many are poised to participate as soon as the trade is opened in any of the countries in question.

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

The hospice care center for children and adults will receive a donation from the April 14th Crown Bingo game.

The holistic approach that the caregivers use at the St. Oswald’s Hospice center helped the cause to stand out for the Crown Bingo family. The children and adults in the care of this center are helped to be as physically comfortable as possible in an incredibly difficult time. Yet here at St. Oswald’s, the health and comfort are recognized as more than simply physical. A representative of the hospice discussed the need for spiritual care, as well as emotional care.

On Monday April 14th, a jackpot prize will be won in Room 2 at Crown Bingo. The amount of that prize will determine the donation that will be turned over to St. Oswald’s Hospice center. The Crown Bingo gaming site will also provide all players with information non making donations in an individual capacity.
