A seventy three two old Harlow woman is heading for the sun after winning more than ₤63 000 at the Mecca Bingo Club in Terminus Street, Harlow. This amazing win came a mere six days before her birthday and she is really going to be celebrating her birthday in fine style this year. She completed full hour in a very surprising number of calls, only thirty six in fact, taking hoe the National Prize of ₤60 340, the Regional prize of ₤3 020 and a house prize of ₤140.
The lucky winner said that she has been playing bingo for more than thirty five years but her previous biggest wing was for ₤250. She said that her husband and she regularly play at the Mecca club and love the game. She also said that they have seven children and six grandchildren, and they struggled to raise such a large family, so every time Christmas comes around she would go potato picking to have some extra money for gifts. Well it certainly appears that she won’t be potato picking this year. Instead she and her husband will be jetting off to sunny Jamaica, she has always wanted to go there.
