It appears that the third time was certainly the lucky charm for a certain Mrs. B from Brighton. The professional care giver just took home the biggest bingo jackpot ever won at Gala Bingo, winning £302,000, continuing Gala Bingo’s tradition of providing great bingo.
In only her third time playing bingo, Mrs. B bought a £2.50 ticket at the insistence of fellow bingo players.
Not only did Mrs. B turn out to be a big winner, her fellow players did too. Gala Bingo’s unique high five game clones the jackpot, with all participating players getting a share. In all, 239 players took home £1,265 each.
“Everything went quiet for a minute, and then the whole place erupted,” said Paul Morgan, an assistant manager at the Brighton bingo hall. “Then the whole place erupted. The winner was sitting right at the back of the hall and she couldn’t move from her seat for about 20 minutes.”
The sum will no doubt change Mrs. B’s life forever. The professional care giver, who wished to remain anonymous, had only gone to the bingo hall as part of a day’s outing with her charge. But she has certainly won a staggering amount of money and changed her life forever.

The popular Quayside Bingo Hall, Baker Street in Lossiemouth was opened by Remo Caira in 1993 and it was taken over by James Allen in 2000. This hall is the only independent Bingo hall in north Scotland and now, it is expected to be demolished on account of construction of flats in that area. The hall Bingo industry is not having bad times with the heavy competition from online Bingo, increased VAT, and ban to smoke inside the hall.
The Bingo hall was called Lucky Lossie, as several players won huge prizes in the hall. At present, Moray council has plans to construct three townhouses on the hall site. Until approval, the hall will be available in the site. The owner Allen said that site Bingo has lost popularity as more and more online Bingo websites were established. When he started linking with other Bingo halls, there were 50 halls and now, there are only 27 halls. In the same Quayside hall, Sunday prizes were £200,200 and now the prize was reduced to £25,000 because of the increased cost in running the Bingo. Many of these halls were converted into townships and pub chains because of their popularity in Scotland.
Allen is pretty much disappointed with closing the hall, but he is still having open options. Quayside is the only Bingo hall that is left independent in north Scotland. Popular players who topped Scotland online Bingo are Bingo Scotland and Scot Bingo. There are a total of only three Bingo halls left in Moray.

Mobile phone software experts are confident that punters will soon be able to play bingo on their mobile phones – but that it may be a while before the service is a quality one. This was the news from the 5th Annual Mobile Gaming Summit in London, which took place on the 18th and 19th of November and was attended by the likes of Betfred, Betfair and Skybet (potential early adopters? Who knows?). The move towards mobile bingo has so far been frustratingly slow, but it does seem that there is now the will to move forward.

The weather’s getting colder, the nights are drawing in, and we’re already seeing the first snowfalls of the winter – there’s no escaping the fact that Christmas is on its way, and that means we’ll soon be looking at a very sizeable dent in our bank balances. All that food and drink, all the decorations and presents, and that’s before you take into account the cards and stamps. Even if you love the Christmas season, just thinking about what it’s going to cost is enough to make you feel quite faint. So it would be nice to maybe win a little bit of money to soften the blow, or better yet a lot of money to really make the holidays go with a bang.

William Hill bingo is one of the online bingo sites that offer players access to various lotteries in the UK and Europe. One lucky West Yorkshire nurse decided to try out the online bingo site for the first time and got very lucky indeed. Being a first time online bingo player she tried her luck with a little bingo, and then decided to play the Irish lottery.

Thanks to the popular online bingo news portal, “Unlucky For Some” The ladies of the RB Falcons Football Club have a new sponsor for this season. This team plays in the Greater London Women’s football league and are currently placed at 7th on the table. I have to mention that they look rather zwish in their new football kit, emblazoned with the Unlucky for Some regalia.

While online bingo in the UK is without doubt one of the most popular games played, there are millions of players and this is growing in numbers all the time, operators still have to look for places to expand their markets. Without this kind of expansion eventually there would be no place for growth. Currently there are more than three hundred online bingo operators offering services to people in the UK and many are looking to move outside of this arena.

Nineteen online gaming operators recently won awards in this years’ Annual E Gaming event. Ladbrokes Bingo virtually topped the lot by winning three separate awards. They took the Best Affiliate Programme of the Year, Multi Channel Operator of the Year and UK Sportsbook Operator of the Year! And were certainly one of the biggest winners of the evening. Party Gaming did pretty well too at they came away from the event with two awards, one being the most Socially Responsible Operator of the Year.
